Welcome to the Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Professionals Small Group Program Facilitator's Website!

Thank you for your choosing to become a Small Group Program Facilitator for the Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Professionals (CCPOHP) and successfully completing the requirements to do so! The Think Cultural Health Initiative, supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH), appreciates your commitment to the integration of cultural and linguistic competency in your services and within your organization.

Now that you have become a Facilitator, you have access to the Facilitator’s Handbook for the Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Professionals Small Group Program and the Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Program (CCPOHP) Small Group Program Facilitator’s website, which will provide you with all of the materials and resources needed for your successful facilitation of small groups. On the Facilitator’s website https://oralhealth.thinkculturalhealth.hhs.gov/SmallGroup/Facilitator/, you will find the following materials:

  • A PDF of the Facilitator’s Handbook for your use to prepare for and conduct each small group session. This document provides you with all the information that you will use during the session, including: learning objectives, talking points, activities, and resources. It also includes Handouts for the participants that supplement the material presented in each session.
  • PowerPoint presentations for each Course of the Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Professionals.
  • Handouts references in the Handbook that accompany material for each Course.
  • Web links for three video case studies used in each Course sessions.
  • Useful resources and references.

As a Facilitator, you are able to do the following:

  • Create new group sessions to lead.
  • Register colleagues and other participants in a small group session of Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Professionals.
  • Deliver the program material in an engaging way and facilitate meaningful discussions about Course material.
  • Grant session participants access to Cultural Competency Program for Oral Health Professionals Small Group Participant's website so that they can access materials, resources, and complete requirements to earn continuing education credits if desired.
